TB vs TiB (Why is OS Space Lower?)

Hard drive manufacturers calculate capacity using the decimal system:
1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes (10¹²).

Operating systems (Windows, Linux, TrueNAS) calculate file sizes using the binary system:
1 TiB = 1,048,576,000,000 bytes (1024⁴).

Every 1 TB drive appears as approximately 0.909 TiB in your storage manager.
